{"id":598,"date":"2020-03-13T16:06:41","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T20:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kennihans.com\/blog\/?p=598"},"modified":"2020-07-31T10:58:18","modified_gmt":"2020-07-31T14:58:18","slug":"kennihan-plumbing-heating-message-to-our-customers-regarding-covid-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kennihans.com\/blog\/community-involvement\/kennihan-plumbing-heating-message-to-our-customers-regarding-covid-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Kennihan Plumbing and Heating COVID-19 Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear valued customer,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are considered an essential business according to the\nPA \u201cIndustry Operation Guidance\u201d issued 03\/21\/2020.&nbsp; We are taking the following steps to help\nwith the safety of our employees and our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Before travelling to a customer\u2019s home, they are\ncontacted by our front office staff, and asked if anyone has been out of the\ncountry in the last 30 days, and has any one had any form of sickness in the\nlast 14 days.<\/li><li>Employees are being directed, if they show any\nsymptoms, or just don\u2019t feel \u201cright\u201d, stay home.<\/li><li>We are having our crews arrive at our location\nat staggered times to create our best scenario at \u201csocial distancing\u201d.<\/li><li>Crews are receiving daily operations directives\nvia ipads, and keeping out of the front office areas.<\/li><li>Front office is isolated from any retail\noperations, meaning, if something needs purchased, it can be taken care of over\nthe phone, and we have an area for retail parts to be picked up.<\/li><li>Our technicians, when at your house working on\nyour heating or cooling system, including maintenance, are performing a <em>complimentary<\/em> \u201cduct sanitization\u201d, which\nuses a <em>sanitizing fogger<\/em> to help kill\nbacteria and viruses in the duct work.&nbsp;\nWhile this in itself <strong><em>cannot<\/em><\/strong> kill everything, it is one\nmore step in addition to the guidance from the CDC.<\/li><li>For more information about the virus, go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdc.gov\">www.cdc.gov<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to your air filter, <strong><em>Fresh-Aire UV<\/em><\/strong><em>*<\/em> makes an air purifier that uses UV light to kill viruses, bacteria, and odors in the home.&nbsp; <strong><em>Recently, it was announced that UV lights are going to start being used in aircraft for cleaning and disinfection to kill the virus.<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp; Hospitals already use UV lights for disinfection.&nbsp; <strong><em>If it is good enough for the airlines and hospitals, why not have it in your home?&nbsp; <\/em><\/strong>Almost all of the Kennihan Family have these systems in our homes, and we believe in them.&nbsp; We have been using UV systems for over 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can install this system, as well as accomplish a duct\ncleaning, and duct work fog sanitization in your home at your convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This, like every challenge Americans have faced since the\nfounding of our Nation, will pass.&nbsp; We\nwill learn from it, and be better people for it.&nbsp; How we react during this time is how we\ndefine each of our \u201ccharacter\u201d.&nbsp; Like\nevery other time, we will look back and say \u201cremember when\u201d.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kennihans.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Fresh-Aire-UV-coronavirus-statement-updated-03-06-20.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">*Click here to read the Coronavirus statement from Fresh-Aire UV<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we can help you, let us know.&nbsp; Be safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kennihans<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear valued customer, We are considered an essential business according to the PA \u201cIndustry Operation Guidance\u201d issued 03\/21\/2020.&nbsp; We are taking the following steps to help with the safety of our employees and our customers.
